Port-of-Spain (Trinidad): The West Indies Cricket Board has fired CEO Gregory Shillingford. The unanimous decision came on Wednesday after the Review and Assessment Committee filed a report on Shillingford and each Board member commented on the situation. Chief Marketing Officer Roger Brathwaite will act as CEO until a replacement is found, a news release said. Shillingford rose to prominence in the 1980s when he carried out turf laying and testing at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine in Trinidad. His brother, Irving Shillingford, is a former West Indies Test batsman with a prolific record at regional level.
