Bangalore: Close on the heels of Sachin Tendulkar of India, who completed his 100th match of his Test career in the fourth and final Test at The Oval on September 5, 2002 against England, Carl Hooper - skipper of West Indies, has also joined the 100 Test club, in the first Test against India at Mumbai on October 9, 2002. Hooper is the 6th West Indian to appear in 100 or more Tests and the 27th player in all to accomplish such a feat.

Hooper's appearance at Mumbai in his 100th Test has special significance in that he becomes the third player in Test history to start his Test career as well as compete his 100th Test - both at the same place - Mumbai. Apart from Hooper, Allan Border of Australia and Javed Miandad are the only two players who have the distinction of appearing in debut and 100th Test at the same place - Border at Melbourne and Javed Miandad at Lahore. Only one other player has appeared in his 100th Test at Mumbai and he is India's Dilip Vengsarkar who had made his 100th Test appearance at Bombay (now Mumbai) against New Zealand on October 24, 1988. Presented below are the venue details of the players who have appeared in their 100th Test appearance:
