Jacques Kallis, the South African all-rounder who hit an unbeaten century (139) in the 2nd Test against Bangladesh at Potchefstroom, went a step further ahead to take 5 for 21 in Bangladesh's 2nd innings and thus became only the fourth player in Test history to perform the feat of scoring a century and taking 5 wickets in an innings twice in a career.
Kallis had earlier performed this feat against West Indies in 1998/99 when he had scored 110 and took 5 for 90 in the 4th Test at Cape Town. Apart from Kallis only three others - Garfield Sobers of West Indies, Mushtaq Mohammad of Pakistan and Ian Botham of England - have earlier accomplished this feat twice in their career. Botham leads this list with such performance for a record number of five occasions. Ian Botham of England and Imran Khan of Pakistan are the only players in this select list to score a century and take 10 or more wickets in a match. This feat has been performed by 19 players from eight Test playing countries for a total of 26 occasions.
