Bangalore: The second round of MAX's "Gully Cricket" with brand ambassador Kapil Dev is set to hit the Mumbai 'gullies' (streets) on November 30, according to an official press release.
"Mumbai truly personifies the craze for cricket in India, so it is one of the ideal places for 'Round Two of Gully Cricket'. MAX will take Kapil across various locations in the city, where he will play cricket with the public and hand out tips, advice and insights to aspiring cricketers and knowledgeable fans alike," executive vice-president and business head - MAX Rajat Jain said. 'Round Two of Gully Cricket' with Kapil Dev marks the beginning of MAX's run-up to the ICC World Cup South Africa 2003, according to the release.
"In fact, Mumbai will be the second of eight cities where MAX will host gully cricket, and going by the public's fervent response to 'Round One', we expect fans to turn up in large numbers in Mumbai," Jain said. "I'm looking forward to gully cricket in Mumbai. Playing with my fans in the other cities was great fun, and I'm really waiting for the opportunity to connect with the wonderful cricket loving people of Mumbai, who are perhaps the most passionate about cricket, and I believe that with gully cricket, MAX will truly capture the hearts of every Mumbaite," Kapil Dev said.
