Morning session washed out in India-New Zealand Test

Wellington: No cricket was possible due to early morning showers on Friday in the pre-lunch session on the second day of the opening Test between India and New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

New Zealand were 53-1 at stumps on the first day in reply to India's first-innings total of 161. Opener Mark Richardson was batting on 27 with skipper Stephen Fleming (11).
