Kolkata: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday decided to honour International Cricket Council's (ICC) December 31 deadline for announcing the 15-member squad for the World Cup in South Africa next year.

The decision was taken at a special general body meeting of BCCI which was convened to discuss the contracts issue and the 'final offer' made by ICC to resolve the dispute. The BCCI will announce its stand on the offer later in the evening but a senior Board functionary stressed that it will stand by the players on the contracts issue.
