Karachi: Pakistan will play its World Cup matches in Zimbabwe as scheduled, officials said on Monday amid a snowballing cricket row over whether teams should play in the African nation. "As far as Pakistan is concerned we will play our World Cup match in Bulawayo on March 4 and that is it," Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman Samiul Hassan told.

"The PCB's stance is clear, and we are party to an agreement signed in November in which we have agreed to play our match in Zimbabwe," he said. Pakistan's backing came after Australia and Britain expressed concerns over playing their Cup matches in Zimbabwe, which is ruled by strongman President Robert Mugabe.
