Queensland has broken New South Wales' (NSW) 13-year stranglehold on the Betty Wilson Shield after defeating the Blues in the final with 36 balls to spare.NSW batted first and compiled a solid 202 for 9 - captain Leah Poulton topscored with 73 while Olviai Thorton (23), Nicole Goodwin (18*), Kate Owen (14), Alex Vaughan (14) and Rene Farrell (11) all chipped in. Laura Bates picked up 3 for 28 from 7 overs and Reanna Browne 2 for 20 from 4 overs.Queensland got off to a good start reaching 85 before losing its first wicket - Kasee Marxsen (16). The next pair put on 83 before captain Belinda Matheson was out for 114 (2 6s&16 4s).
