Hobart (Australia): Tasmania snatched its first win of the season in the Sheffield Shield competition on Saturday when it beat Victoria by 87 runs at Bellerive Oval. Victoria, needing 343 in its second innings, went to lunch with a chance at 197 for five wickets. But it quickly folded after the break to be all out for 255. Tasmania's win dents Victoria's hopes of hosting the final of the inter-state contest, although Victoria takes two points for a first innings lead. It is 18 years since Victoria last won outright in Hobart.
