Adelaide: South Australian left-arm paceman Mark Harrity said on Friday he had signed a two-year contract to play for English county Worcestershire.Harrity, 28, has taken 197 first-class wickets at an average of 38.37 in 10 seasons with South Australia. He will play for Worcestershire as a local, as his father was born in England and he has a British passport. But under English Cricket Board (ECB) rules, he must immediately cease playing first-class cricket in Australia to qualify as a local, meaning his career with South Australia is over.Harrity said he had been previously offered contracts to play with English counties, but had wanted to wait until his chances of playing for Australia were over before taking up an offer.
