Johannesburg: World Cup supremo Ali Bacher admitted on Wednesday he was a convert to the Kenyan fan club but warned against the minnows getting too carried away with their success here.Kenya, the first non-Test playing nation to reach the World Cup semi-finals, faces India in Durban on Thursday hoping that its performances so far will speed up its entry into the Test club. But Bacher warned them to go gently into the big time."Kenyan cricket does not yet have the infrastructure or the commitment to take the next step forward. If they go it alone, they will falter," he said."What they need is major support from the International Cricket Council in terms of money, people, skills and general expertise."After their performance here, I have no doubt that will be forthcoming," Bacher told the Johannesburg Star.Kenya has beaten Test playing nations Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe to reach the last four and if it sees off India in the semi-final its reward will be a World Cup final showdown against defending champion Australia in Sunday's final at the Wanderers.Copyright AFP 2001
