Sydney: Australian spinner Shane Warne was out of the cricket World Cup and returning home from South Africa after inadvertently taking banned substances, Channel 7 reported on Tuesday.Warne and Australian Cricket Board chief executive James Sutherland were scheduled to hold a press conference in Johannesburg at 09:00 local time (12.30 IST) on Tuesday.Channel 7 reported that Warne had discovered he had been taking prohibited medication to treat his injured shoulder.Warne, who had announced he was quitting One-day cricket after the competition, dislocated his right shoulder in a fielding accident in December and had only recently returned to the Australian team.Australia plays its opening match against Pakistan in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
