Colombo: New Zealand made an impressive start to its tour of Sri Lanka on Monday, crushing the hosts' second-string side by 164 runs in a One-day practice match.The Kiwis, preparing for the triangular series against India and Sri Lanka, which starts on Wednesday, piled up 293 for six from their stipulated 50 overs before bowling out Sri Lanka A for 129. Matthew Sinclair (64), Craig McMillan (59), and Nathan Astle (48) led the spectacular run-hunt at the Nondescripts Cricket Club ground after being put in to bat by their young rivals.All the bowlers then chipped in as Sri Lanka A was shot out in just 36.5 overs. Thilan Samaraweera top-scored with 41.New Zealand takes on Sanath Jayasuriya's home team in the first match of the tri-series at the Premadasa ground at Colombo on Wednesday.
