Kolkata: A move is on from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to reschedule the World Cup semi-final match on March 20at Durban from a day and night match to a day affair.Confirming this development the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Jagmohan Dalmiya said, "We are not making any formal request but talking to everybody involved specially the organisers to agree to our suggestion."Dalmiya, however, said that there is no request from the BCCI to shift the venue from Durban where the semi-final match between number two and three placed teams in the Super Six stage would clash for a berth in the final.India is likely to finish number two or number three in the final Super Six table which will result in their playing the semi-final in Durban, a venue which has already seen a game abandoned due to rain.Dalmiya said that the Indian board only wants to change the timing of the match but, "We do not want to create any problem for the organisers as the schedule for the matches have been finalised at least two years in advance.""If any change has to be made it has to be with the consent of everybody and we are talking to every team involved as well as the organisers and the change will be made only if everybody agrees to it," the Board chief said.
