East London: Canada is confident of delivering a World Cup hammer blow to the frail confidence of hosts South Africa on Thursday. South Africa is under enormous pressure to win handsomely against Canada to keep alive its chances of qualifying for the Super Sixes, but Shaun Pollock's men are in fifth place in the Group 'B' table with eight points after two wins and two defeats. Canada, out of the running for the next stage, is second from bottom with four points after a win and three defeats but that hasn't stopped skipper Joe Harris from predicting a shock win at Buffalo Park. "I think all the Test playing nations are going to come hard at us," said Harris. "So I don't think it is particularly unfortunate that we meet South Africa at this stage of the tournament. "They're under a lot of pressure to do well. It might even work for us," Harris told the SAPA news agency. Copyright AFP 2001
