Bangalore: Mac Sports, Bangalore has been appointed as the Asian Co-ordinator for the Hong Kong based Asian Cricket Sixes Tour (ACST), according to information received ACST World Co-ordinator Michael Maher. "I am keen to expand the ACST to India as there is such a natural huge market for cricket events there and of course a market for events outside India," Maher said in a written communication to Mac Sports Director Anto. "I am keen to consider you as the ACST representative in India and from what I have seen and heard you will be excellent in that role. As you no doubt agree, this is an exciting concept," the official communique said. "One of the main issues that I consider in forming relationships is that I must personally have met the person and discussed the many aspects involved in such relationships. Hence my request to you and your team to come along to the Hua Hin Sixes in Thailand," Maher said. "During this time, you will have a chance to meet with my ACST partners (the committee, myself, Doug, Mark and Brad) and also the other people from the Asian Area for a dinner meeting," the communique said. "In the short term, I will be happy if you use the term "Asian Cricket Sixes - Asian Co-ordinator" for the time being," Maher said in anticipation of meeting Anto in Hong Kong shortly.
