Madurai: Perhaps for the first time in the country, about fifty members of the Dravidar Kazhagam on Monday held a demonstration here, to protest against the "income tax and customs duty" exemptions given to the Indian Cricket players who participated in the recent World Cup in South Africa. The speakers who addressed demonstrators criticised the government's action and almost all of them said there was no need to give any tax or customs exemption to the cricket players, who were already earning fabulous sums.
