Nairobi: Sri Lanka 'A' bowled out Kenya for 180 to win the third match of their five- match One-day series at the Simba Union by seven wickets. Led by strong performances from Nuwan Zoysa, Janaka Gunaratne and Jehan Mubarak, the visitors cruised home to victory with 14 overs to spare on Wednesday. Sri Lanka 'A' yet again proved superior with both bat and ball as they posted 180 for three after Kenya had set a modest target of 178 after batting first for the third time in the series. Gunaratne and Mubarak put on 104 for the third wicket which pushed the scorers from 71 to 175. Mubarak, the centurion from the second match, made 45. Zoysa, one of the two national team players in the touring side was, however, the most aggressive of the Sri Lankan players. His inspired bowling brought him 4-15 in a controlled spell of nine overs which earned him the Man of the Match. Zoysa also top scored for the tourists with 48 before he was adjudged lbw off the bowling of all rounder Thomas Odoyo. Kenyan captain Steve Tikolo returned to form with a stylish 71 off 82 deliveries, but failed to get any support as wickets continued to fall around him. The defeat must increase the pressure on Kenya's new coach Andy Moles, who took over following an outstanding performance at the World Cup in South Africa earlier this year. He needs to win the remaining two matches on Saturday and Sunday to salvage some local pride. Copyright AFP 2001
