'BCCI constantly monitoring Ganguly's progress'

Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, S K Nair, on Friday said they were very closely monitoring the progress of Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, who is recuperating from an operation at Kolkata. Nair, who announced that TVS and the BCCI would give away Rs ten lakh to the winners of the on-going tri-nation One-day International tournament, said here that he was in constant touch with the stylish southpaw. "I am in constant touch with Ganguly and the selection committee which will meet here tomorrow to pick the team for the next three One-dayers would be reviewing the medical report of Ganguly before finalising the team", he added.

There is also a likelihood of left arm seamer Ashish Nehra making a comeback after a long injury lay-off. Meanwhile, TVS Motors on Friday announced that they would be sponsoring the Tamil Nadu and Delhi Ranji Trophy teams for the coming season starting next month. Tamil Nadu and India players Hemang Badani and Laxmipathi Balaji unveiled a T-shirt with TVS logo at a function that was delayed by more than two and a half hours. Dashing batsman Virender Sehwag and Ashish Nehra unveiled the second set of T-shirt to mark the association of Delhi with TVS.
