|Assam continues winning spree, beat Tripura|

A fine spell by spinner M Talkudar (4/17) helped Assam to restrict Tripura for 170 off 45.5 over after the later choosen to bat first on winning the toss.
Tripura started off on a bad note losing three wickets for 22 runs, however, opener S Mahesh (52- 4x4) and Ansul Lamba (27 - 3x4) together stiched 55 runs for the fourth wickets leading the score to 77 before Lamba was bowled off spinner P Das.
Mahesh played cautious knock amidst fall of wickets at the other end and brought in 59 run for the sixth wicket with Sandeep Malhotra (49 - 5x4) before being bowled off M Talukdar. Talukdar maintained a fine line and length to scalpe four wickets giving away 17 runs in his five over.
Chasing a target of 171, Assam started off brilliantly from the beginning as their openers R K Mritunjay (12) and P Das (60) paired for 74 runs before Mritunjoy was bowled off S Mahesh. Das who was appeared aggresive from the beginning hitting up nine four and a six in his 60 run knock misjudged a delivery of seamer Sonu Sharma only to see the bails removed.
K Pawar, who came in after Mritunjoy' dismissal, played confidently to notch up unbeaten 64 runs including ten fours and two sixes.
Assam surpassed the target in 33 overs losing two wickets V Sarvanand remained not out on 22.
Assam, who beat Orissa in the opener , secured five points from this match while Tripura had minus one.
