Electing to bat, Singapore had a blazing start with skipper Glenn Meyer (59) and Christopher Janik (26) registering an opening stand of 93 runs. But an unprecedented collapse followed the first wicket as Singapore folded out for 143 runs in 46.4 overs, two balls before the end of their allotted 47 overs. Sharma made a hat-trick in the last over of the innings. In reply, opener Goel (78 no) gave a confident start with Rahul Parmar (19) and then added 52 runs with Vipin Kumar (25) for the second wicket to ensure an easy victory for the hosts. Peter Muruthi and Jackie shared one wicket each for Singapore. | |
