|A match between two Punjab's in the offing|

Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has already written a letter in this regard to the Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Vikram Verma whom he met on Thursday and sought his approval.
"The Sports Minister informed us that the letter has already been sent to the MEA. Once they get the nod from them, they will give us the clearence," Singh said after the meeting.
"The Punjab Cricket Association has informally discussed the issue with their counterparts in Pakistan but all the details would be finalised once we get the clearence from the ministry," he said.
"We want to schedule the match during the Patiala Heritage Festival which is being held from Feb 21 to 29. The proceeds of the match would go to the fund for restoration of heritage monuments in Punjab," he said.
