Decision on DD's request for telecast soon Sunday, February 1 2004 16:59 Hrs (IST)
Chennai:A decision would be taken in the next two weeks on Doordarshan being permitted terrestrially to telecast the coming cricket matches between India and Pakistan, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting,Ravi Shankar Prasad said in Chennai on Sunday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already invited bids for radio broadcast and the last date for it was February 3.
"We have given our bid for radio', he said responding to a question at a press conference in Chennai on Sunday afternoon.
All India Radio (AIR) would give coverage for five One-dayersand three Test matches.
For Doordarshan coverage, the process was now on, the Minister said.
