|England 'A' loses to Karnataka in tour opener|

Opting to bat, the tourists were bundled out for a meagre 116 in 35.1 overs in the face of a fierce bowling attack by the hosts for whom Stuart Binny shined with four wickets for 29 runs.
Wickets fell at regular intervals for England 'A' on the Indian Air Force (IAF) ground. The only grace for them was an enterprising 45 runs by Graham Wagg, who hit three fours and an equal number of sixes.
Besides Binny, N C Aiyappa (2 for 16), Sunil Joshi (2 for 20) and Dodda Ganesh (2 for 22) shared the spoils.
Karnataka reached the target without difficulty in 23.3 overs with Mithun Beerala and Vijay R Bharadwaj remaining unbeaten on 47 and 34, respectively.
Matthew Prior led the side in the absence of Alex Gidman who is said to be nursing an injury. Key paceman Simon Jones also missed action as he is still to be fully fit.
The tourists are slated to play three One-dayers against India 'A' on February 9 and 10 in Bangalore and on February 12 at Chennai. They are also scheduled to compete in the Duleep Trophy tournament to be held a various venues in the North Zone from February 14 to March 9.
