'Government awaits security report from BCCI'

Ranchi:The Government is awaiting the report of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the security aspect of the Indian cricket team for its proposed tour of Pakistan, Minister for External Affairs, Yashwant Sinha said in Ranchi.

The BCCI had been asked to assess the situation and report to the Government, Sinha told reporters in Ranchi. A three-member BCCI delegation headed by joint secretary Ratnakar Shetty is currently in Pakistan to oversee the security arrangements at all the venues.
