"The Indian team is playing One-day matches in Karachi and Peshawar. It is something we are happy about," he told a private Indian news channel.
"It (India playing at the two venues) opens up prospects, that in future Karachi and Peshawar will get Test matches whether from India or any other country," he said.
India will be playing the first One-day International at Karachi on March 13 and the third of the five-match series at Peshawar on March 19. South Africa and New Zealand had refused to play at the two venues citing security reasons during their recent tours to Pakistan.
