Asked to bat first, Jaya Sharma (97) and Anju Jain (67) whipped the hapless West Indies attack to all corners of the park stitching 183 runs for the first wicket.
Anjum Chopra (55) and Mitali Raj (56) continued the good work with their whirlwind unbeaten knocks, propelling their team to a huge 298 for two in 50 overs.
The West Indies were restricted to 193 in 49.5 overs though a defiant 53 by N George, thanks to Nitu David who snapped up four quick wickets for just 21 runs.
David was ably supported by N A Kader (2/31) and D David (2/43) as India would now go to Jamshedpur with a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
