India slips to third spot in Samsung ODI ratings

New Delhi:India slipped to the third spot in One-day Internationals ranking but retained their fifth position in Tests in the latest Samsung cricket rating.

India, with 62 points, trails world champions Australia (76) and South Africa (68) in the ODI list.

The teams above India (40 points) in the Test rating are Australia (74), South Africa (67), Pakistan (60) and England (53).

In the Test batting rating, Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid is in sixth spot with 112 points. West Indies captain Brian Lara tops the list with 141 points.

Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman are third and eighth respectively in the ODI batting rating.

Among the Indian bowlers, leg-spinner Anil Kumble holds the eighth spot in Tests while Ajit Agarkar (4th) and Irfan Pathan (10th) find a place in the top-10 ODI rating.
