"If you look at the scoreboard of the ongoing Duleep Trophy match it is clear that there is no problem with the performance of Nehra," Kirmani said in Mohali.
"You cannot take five wickets in all the matches you play," Kirmani said when pressed further to comment on Nehra's performance of late.
Nehra was picked in the 15-member One-day squad subject to his proving fitness in the Duleep Trophy match that ends on Monday.
Kirmani, however, said the performance of several players would be evaluated before the selection of Test squad on March 22 to play in the three-Test series against Pakistan.
"The performance of some players would be closely evaluated in the Ranji final and semi-finals before making a decision on their inclusion in the Test squad," Kirmani said without disclosing the probables for the Test team.
Describing the upcoming series with Pakistan as "prestigious", he said everybody was looking forward to the special series coming after a gap of nearly 15 years.
Kirmani said he was looking forward to a successful tour especially after the Indian team's performance in Australia.
"After Indian team's performance in Australia we are looking forward to a successful tour. Our players are geared up for the contest and there are no problems with them," he added.
