Kolkata:After Sunday's slow start the three-day conditioning camp for the Pakistan-bound Indian cricket team gained momentum with players opting to play a Limited Overs practice match to get back to match fitness.

With the weather improving since early morning Indian stars alongwith a bunch of upcoming players, requisitioned to help the Indian stars in the camp, divided themselves into two teams to play a 45-over a side match to get back to the competitive mould.

Before the start of the practice match the newly appointed bowling consultant Kapil Dev had a word with bowlers. He was seen explaining the finer points to the boys on how to adapt themselves for the high voltage series against Pakistan.

Apart from the team's bowlers, services of at least ten upcoming bowlers have been requisitioned to bowl the Indian stars during the brief conditioning camp.

On the opening day of the camp on Sunday the team could not undergo a full-fledged practice session due to unseasonal rains, which had left the Eden Gardens wet. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had opted for this brief camp to help the Indian team get back to match fitness since there was a gap of more than a month between Pakistan tour and the last tour of Australia.

Altogether 13 of the 15-member team were taking part in the camp as Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra were doing duty for North Zone in the Duleep Trophy final match against East Zone currently going on at Mohali.
