''I enjoy pressure situations. I have played well for my state Mumbai under pressure. And I'd rather like to prove my skills against such an opponent (Pakistan) and not versus weaker teams,'' Powar said.
Powar said that he got the national call-up following his consistent performance in domestic tournaments in the current season. ''I have bowled well against Indian batsmen who are good players of spin. So, I'm hopeful that the Pakistan series will be a good one for me,'' he said.
Powar said that pitches in Pakistan were akin to those in India, and he was looking forward to getting assistance from the wickets there. Powar said that he would try to meet off-spin legend E A S Prasanna who has shifted base to the city recently.
He was also looking forward to the opportunity of meeting veteran Pakistan offie Saqlain Mushtaq who has been redrafted into the national team.
He also expressed his gratitude to batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, saying ''Whenever he is around, he tries to help''.
