Kolkata:Parthiv Patel, the baby-faced stumper of the Indian cricket team who turned 20 on Tuesday, has set aside birthday celebrations to concentrate on the tough tour against Pakistan ahead.

Patel, now busy in the conditioning camp at the Eden Gardens Kolkata in the lead up to the Pakistan tour, said he did not have the time to plan anything for his birthday.

"We have a tough tour ahead. I am concentrating on my game now. My only target now is to put up a good performance for my team in Pakistan," said Patel, the youngest wicketkeeper to play Test for India.

The left-handed batsman admitted he was missing his parents and friends, although he said it was fun to be with the Indian team.

"Had I been at home I would have been freaking out with friends. It feels good when you get to celebrate such an occasion with your family. However, it is also fun to be with the guys in the Indian team which is also like a family," Patel, born on this day in 1985 at Ahmedabad, said.

Patel, who became the third youngest cricketer to make his debut for India when he made it to the playing eleven against England at Trent Bridge in 2002, said last year also he was away from home on his birthday as he was doing duty for the Indian team in the World Cup in South Africa.

"The World Cup had a different atmosphere and I enjoyed it," he said. Patel is part of the 15-member Indian squad picked to play the five-match One-day series beginning in Karachi on Saturday
