In the morning almost 500 cricket lovers, who reached by the Delhi-Attari train, boarded the Attari-Lahore special train on the eve of the fourth One-dayer at Lahore. The fifth and final One-dayer would be played on Wednesday.
Later, another 500 fans crossed over to Pakistan by foot through the only land route, Wagah. The cricket lovers at Attari Railway Station and Wagah border were seen in a jubilant mood, raising slogans and wishing a historic victory for the Indian team. Police laid barricades on the Amritsar-Lahore road to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
The four staff members of the Pakistan High Commission worked overtime on Friday night and Saturday morning to ensure that all the fans, with tickets for the matches, got visas to visit the country and witness the contest.
