Lahore:Mixing cricket with diplomacy, India's National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra informally reviewed the Indo-Pak ties with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri in Lahore on Sunday.

The veteran Indian diplomat spent most of the day watching the Indo-Pak fourth ODI at the Gaddafi Stadium, where Kasuri as well the top brass of the Pakistan Foreign Office including, Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar were present.

Mishra and Kasuri, both key players in the recent Indo-Pak diplomatic moves, met later at a private dinner hosted by a local dignitary, which was described by Indian officials as social occasion. Infact, besides Mishra and Kasuri, some other top officials involved in the significant steps towards normalisation of bilateral ties graced the VVIP enclosures at the stadium. Those sighted included Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Aziz Ahmad Khan and his Indian counterpart Shivshankar Menon.

Whether cricket was their sole interest remained a matter of speculation with the Pakistan Foreign office spokesman, Masood Khan confining his comments to stating that Mishra was in Pakistan. Mishra was not coming to Islamabad and will be leaving for home on Monday, he said.
