Rawalpindi:Shahid Afridi marked his return to international cricket with a hurricane 58-ball 80 as Pakistan piled up a huge 329 for six in their allotted 50 overs in the second One-dayer against arch-rivals India in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

The hard-hitting Afridi, playing his first match since the World Cup last year, gave a stunning display of strokeplay while his opening partner Yasir Hameed also scored a fine, albeit controlled, 86 to lay the foundation for an imposing total on yet another batsmen-friendly track at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

None of the other batsmen could really get going despite getting the starts as Inzamam (29) Younis Khan (28) and Youhana (24) fell cheaply but some lusty hittings by Abdur Razzak (31 not out) and Shoaib Malik (30 not out) in the slog overs ensured the effort of the openers was not wasted.

Electing to bat, the Pakistani innings got off to a blazing start as Hameed and Afridi plundered runs at will against the Indian new ball bowlers who got absolutely no assistance from the track.
