Sami, Fazl lift Pak to 224, India 23/1 at stumps

Rawalpindi: India were 23 for one at stumps on day one of third and final Test at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Vice-captain Rahul Dravid was batting on 10, while wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel who opened the innings was giving him company with 13. Virender Sehwag was dismissed of the first ball of the Indian innings without scoring.

Earlier, Pakistan were all out for 224 after being inserted in by the Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly.

Mohammed Sami was the top scorer with 49.

For India, Laxmipathy Balaji was the pick of the bowlers scalping a career-best four wicket haul for 63 runs.
