India tames Pakistan at Multan, Kumble bags 6

Multan:India defeated Pakistan by innings and 52 runs in the first Test match at Multan. This was India's first Test win on Pakistan soil.

Resuming at the overnight score of 207 for nine Pakistan lost Yousuf Youhana in the second over of the day. Youhana was caught by Dravid off the bowling of Irfan Pathan when he mistimed a pull shot. Pakistan were dismissed for 216 in their second innings.

For India Kumble was the pick of the bowlers grabbing 6-72 off 30 overs while Pathan took two for 26.

Virender Sehwag was named Man of the Match. India leads the three test series 1-0.

The two teams now travel to Lahore for the second Test which begins at Lahore on April 5.
