New Delhi:Indian leg-spinner Anil Kumble, who did not play the One-dayers but was part of the Test squad, said his maiden visit to Pakistan had dispelled all his doubts about that country.

"I went there with a fixed opinion about Pakistan but it changed as soon as I landed there. The hospitality was great and people went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It was a memorable series."

Kumble said it was an unusual experience to see the celebrations at home when India won the One-day series.

"Since I was not a part of the One-day squad, I watched the matches at home on TV. It was great to see the celebrations. The fireworks immediately after the last wicket fell... it was a completely different feeling. I had never gotthe chance to visualise such things before."

Meanwhile, young bowling sensation Irfan Pathan had a simple theory for achieving success: work hard and if you still don't get the results, work harder.

Asked whether young bowlers like him and L Balaji would benefit more if a bowling coach was appointed, Pathan said "we still need to learn a lot but appointing a bowling coach is a decision of the Board."
