KSCA honours Srinath, Dravid and Kumble

Bangalore :Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) on Saturday honoured three cricket stars including Javagal Srinath by presenting a purse ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh in recognition of their services to the Indian cricket.

At a glittering function, the speedster "Mysore Express" Srinath was presented with a purse of Rs 10 lakh.

The Indian cricket team vice-captain Rahul Dravid and leggie Anil Kumble were presented a purse of Rs 2.5 lakh each for their stupendous performance in the recently concluded cricket series against Pakistan.

Earlier, presenting trophies to the winners of the KSCA League tournament the association Secretary Brijesh Patel announced that Srinath, Dravid and Kumble would be honoured.

He also announced a slew of schemes to benefit Ranji players including a pension scheme for them.
