Mumbai:World Cup champions Australia, runners-up India and Pakistan are to play in a tri-nation tournament in Amsterdam in August.

"The dates of the individual matches have not yet been decided, but the tournament is scheduled between August 22 and 29," joint secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Ratnakar Shetty, said in Mumbai on Thursday.

The tri-nation tournament is to be sandwiched between the July 16-August 1 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka and India's three-match Limited Over International Natwest Challenge series against England scheduled prior to their engagement in the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Natwest Challenge series of matches between India and England are to be held on September 1, 3 and 5 before the September 10-25 Champions Trophy, also slated to be held in England.
