Mumbai:The chairman of the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), Dyaneshwar Agashe, termed the ban on Abhijit Kale "too harsh" as he had already lost one year due to the suspension from November, 2003 and especially because he had "not offered any money" to the selectors.

"If he has accepted (his guilt) but had not offered any money (to the selectors) then the punishment meted out is too harsh because he's already lost one year due to suspension", Agashe said.

"The Board should have been more considerate. He has already been punished and has suffered. I will definitely take up Kale's case at the Board's working committee whenever it is convened," he added.
