Kolkata:Legendary cricketer Geoffrey Boycott would offer batting tips to Indian cricketers for two weeks in July, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya said in Kolkata on Friday.

Boycott would begin his stint with a two-day session guiding the senior Indian cricket team on July 4 and 5 in Chennai where the squad is slated to hold a preparatory camp ahead of the tour to Sri Lanka for the July 16-August 1 Asia Cup.

The former England opener would then proceed to Bangalore and attend on the Under-19 trainees at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for a few days and the India 'A' team that would tour Zimbabwe and Kenya in July-August.

''It has been our endeavour to bring in more and more specialists for the benefit of youngsters,'' said Dalmiya.

It may be mentioned that Jonty Rhodes had earlier trained Indian players in fielding at NCA.

The BCCI has also roped in famed former pacer Kapil Dev for offering advices to the country's leading quick bowlers.
