London:The International Cricket Council (ICC) has agreed to fast track the bowling review process regarding illegal deliveries following a submission from the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

During the course of meetings at ICC annual conference, which ended on Sunday, SLC raised questions into ICC's ways of dealing with illegal deliveries, in particular regarding the research into spin bowling actions.

ICC, in a statement, said the process would be fast-tracked without compromising the integrity of the research.

SLC is apparently unhappy with the handling of Muttiah Muralitharan's case whose action came under the scanner after match referee Chris Broad suspected that the off-spinner bowled the 'doosra' with a suspect action.
