Bangalore:Former England opener Geoffrey Boycott interacted with the Under-19 trainees of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Thursday and sought to gauge their strengths and weaknesses ahead of full-fledged sessions with them.

"I have started interacting with them, and it will take a couple of days to assess them," Boycott said after a 90-minute 'get-to-know-things' interaction with the trainees.

Boycott had been drafted as a batting consultant for a few days' stint in Bangalore during which he is also slated to pass on batting tips to the Zimbabwe-Kenya bound India 'A' team, which is assembling in NCA for a weeklong preparatory camp on July 12.

He had offered individual suggestions to the Asia Cup probables during the camp in Chennai prior to his visit to Bangalore.

NCA officials have said that former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes has agreed to visit NCA and interact with NCA trainees on matters of fielding skills later this year.
