London:England One-day batsman Vikram Solanki has signed a new three-year contract with his County Worcestershire.

Solanki, who is in the England squad for the upcoming One-day series against India and next month's ICC Champions Trophy, will now stay at New Road until the end of the 2007 season.

The 28-year-old, who made his debut for the County 11 years ago, was dropped by England last summer but has earned a recall after some superb performances this year.

Solanki will feature for Worcestershire in the CG Trophy final against Gloucestershire at Lord's on Saturday.
