Tendulkar, who did not play in the One-dayers in Holland and the just concluded NatWest Challenge here, had another scan on his troublesome tennis elbow on Monday, the coach said.
"Physio Andrew (Leipus) is pretty positive Sachin will be fit for the series against Australia," said Wright.
The Australians would be playing four Tests in India with the first match at Bangalore on October six.
The Indian team has moved out of the hotel in London where they had been put up for the NatWest Challenge but Tendulkar has stayed put in the same room, away from his teammates now that he is no longer a part of the squad.
According to team manager Gautam Dasgupta, there were no clear dates on when Tendulkar would leave for home.
