Karnataka player hangs up cricketing boots

Bangalore:Karnataka Ranji Trophy middle-order batsman G.K. Anil Kumar has retired from all first-class games. Kumar who donned the state Ranji colours from 1998 to 2001 was also part of the state side which cornered glory by winning the Ranji Trophy in 1999.The right-hander also played a pivotal role in Karnataka winning the 2000 Subbiah Pillai Trophy averaging 54.06 with the willow. He was also a member of the Indian Under-19 side.
