" We've chosen the best possible team keeping in mind the local conditions. That apart, we have also selected a couple of players recuperating from injury but their condition will be monitored and reviewed during the training session," said Bangladesh chief selector Faruque Ahmed here.
The former national captain said the performance of Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy in England was tossed at length before the final selection was made. "We had discussed the recent performance in England before making the final selection," said Faruque adding that they would take into account home advantage while announcing teams before each match.
"We have the home advantage to capitalise on and based on that, we would announce a different final squad before every match. We will announce 13-member squads before the Tests from these 21 players," he added.
He said the team playing the Kiwis in a three-day warm-up game beginning Septembeer 30 will comprise a blend of youth and experience. "We will field four or five national players in that team. It will be more of a blend of experience and youth," he said.
The camp for the 21 probables will kickoff at the Army Stadium on September 26. The Kiwis squad will arrive Dhaka on October 8. The two Tests would be held in Dhaka and Chittagong.
