Kolkata:Outgoing Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya on Tuesday said that he was satisfied with his three-year tenure at the top, but denied his involvement in the election of the new president.

"I know nothing about the election, you should ask the contesting parties," Dalmiya told newsmen as he came out of a meeting of the Board's marketing committee.

On repeated queries by newspersons he said, "I only know that I am retiring tomorrow".

Asked how he felt about his tenure as the president of the Board, he simply said, "happy and satisfied".

Dalmiya has already been appointed as the patron-in-chief of the Board at a special general meeting of the Board at Chennai on September 12. He would be taking over his new post at the end of his tenure as president on Wednesday.
