Pakistan win the toss, opt to bat in Multan

Multan:Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against Zimbabwe in the opening match of the tri-series at Multan cricket stadium here.

Sri Lanka is the third team in the event in which all three teams face each other twice with the top two teams playing the October 16 final.

Pakistan gave a one-day debut to opener Bazid Khan and pacer Rao Iftikhar.

Bazid is the son of former Pakistan captain Majid Khan.
